It was very nice sunny Saturday morning last weekend. I decided to race in shorter distance in Fourth Annual Fair Family Fun 5km run again. I had a great race. I run together with another 2 runners first 2 and half miles. I had to bet everything onto one wild card, unexpected 1/2mile sprint to finish. It was a very risky move knowing who was running against me, but I did it and won overall this 3miles run in 16:06min. Race results at: www.savystrider.com

You are the Ironman it is what you hear when crossing the finish line everytime when you finish this ultimate endurance challenge 2,4mile swim - 112mile bike ride - 26.2miles run. I enjoyed it much more in my second Ironman finish in Kentucky then during my first one at Florida. It was the only one moment I enjoyed more then my first ever Ironman experience at Panama City in 2007 where I finished over 2 and half hours faster then in Louisville. When I rode part of the race .... Comments (2) |

The 18th Annual "Escape from The Rock" triathlon in San Francisco was a great fun experience for me. The unusuall distances with a 1.5mile swim-2.5mile run - 13mile bike - 10km run make this race true challenge for many athletes. Spectacular mass start (over 600 triathletes) just 100yards from famous Al Capone home - The Rock - The Alcatraz was....

Today it was another great morning for competing in sprint triathlon. I decided to travel to Charleston where Paul King as a race director organize his 18th Annual! triathlon series this year. There was over 300 participants in the race. I came to Charleston for 1st place, but I was not running fast enough to close 10s gap after 2nd transition area on Ashley Ackerman from Charlotte (NC) today. I came 1st out of water in Open/Elite division that start in 1st wave, kept my closest competitors behind untill mile 11 on the bike and with no sight of anyone behind I knew this is going to be a running race for 1st place. I started just 10s behind Ashley and kept such a distance behind until 2nd mile mark where I expected he could slow down. He never slowed down and opened up the gap up to one minute and one second in the finish line on me instead. With a solid time under 58minI finished 2nd Overall. Race results: Comments (1) |
